Mill Green is a sleepy village where nothing much ever happens… that is, until a murder is discovered! The local constabulary are baffled—there’s only one thing to be done. They call on Clue Company, the world’s greatest detective agency, to see if its super-sleuths can crack the case. Are you and your fellow investigators up to the challenge?

This escape room whodunnit will take you around the beautiful grounds of Hatfield’s 18th Century working watermill as you race against the clock to solve the crime. Choose your own route around the mill, tackling the challenges in whatever order you wish. Each puzzle you solve will give you another clue to the mystery: once you’ve gathered them all, it’s time to put your deduction skills to the test!

Who committed the murder? Where did they do the deed? Which weapon did they use? These are the questions you and your team will need to answer. You’ll have exactly one hour to unravel the mystery and close the case.

Entrance to the mill and museum is included in your booking, so once you’ve solved the mystery, you can explore the exhibitions at your leisure, take part in one of the Watermill’s many summer events, or celebrate your win with a cream tea at the Miller’s Kitchen café!

Please be aware that more than one team can play this game at the same time but there are plenty of different locations to explore so you can avoid each other if you so desire!

Up to four teams at a time will be briefed together before setting off with a map of the Watermill and grounds, telling you which locations to explore. Puzzles to interact with are sectioned off from the rest of the gardens, so you will easily know what is part of the experience. Teams choose which locations they would like to visit at any given time, so you will cross other teams, but can choose different locations to avoid each other.

Once you have collected all the clues you need, it will be time to deliberate and make your final deductions. Bring your conclusion to the detective and they will let you know if you got it right!

Murder at the Mill is an original experience created by Pier Pressure Welwyn, inspired by a beloved classic board game and Pier Pressure Brighton’s Clue Company game. It is NOT the same game as Clue Company Brighton, and has all-new puzzles and challenges.
